So we start to see what it's like to travel to a country in the South Pacific and convince everyone to go to Tonga. Until last year, I had not visited any other Pacific islands except Australia and Hawaii.

Although I had spent a small fortune, I was short of budget to really see and experience Tonga. Simply because of a guide book that is only available in a bookstore, I chose Tonga because swimming with humpback whales sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. In September 2018, the time finally came, and although we mainly visited the Vava'u archipelago, after a few days we went to the top of the island to swim with the humpback whales during their peak season and saw them jumping and playing on the horizon, almost from the perspective of our city. The fact that we could not see any whales on our trip made me feel like I had missed one of my most important highlights in Tonganas.

This is one of the most popular activities in Tonga to get close to these beautiful seas and swim with them in the water.

You all benefit from this, as there are a lot of snorkeling opportunities in Tonga and you can easily stay there for a while. This is an island excursion that offers you the opportunity of a beautiful day on the island. Vava'u is a collection of many islands, often uninhabited, and some of the islands you see are the most popular, such as Kona, Nuku'alofa, Maungai and Tula. These islands are home to many different bird species, fish, birds of prey and other marine life.

There are a number of beautiful beaches in Tonga, so it is the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway, especially for those coming from Australia or New Zealand. Rarotonga in the Cook Islands is a better option as it is a great beach to take an extra flight to.

There are 176 islands in the Kingdom of Tonga, and it only takes a lot of time to see them all. If you have time, take the ferry, but a day trip to one of the other islands of onga is a must, especially if you had more time!

When you realise how much there is to see in Tonga, you want to extend your holiday to do it justice. Place all these sights on your "Tonga list" and walk around the island to get a great view of the islands.

Tongatapu has a number of fascinating archaeological sites to visit, the most impressive of which is the Trilithon amonga on Maui. Elsewhere you will probably be surprised by the natural beauty, but the main island is an island where you can admire the ancient Polynesian culture.

Once you arrive in Tonga, there are several accommodations on the island that make it a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a few days and relax.

Getting there is relatively easy, as there are a number of flights to Tonga from New Zealand that are very affordable. Most flights come from Fiji and New Zealand, but you can find some specials for less than $150 USD. Domestic flights to Tonga are expensive, however, with some available for as little as $100 or less for a special offer. You can choose to stay in Oceania or maybe go on holiday to Cook Island and get there as quickly as possible, as it is only a few hours away from the capital.
